- Code: The person to whom a work, a scientific name, or a nomenclatural act is attributed. For the purposes of the Code, if a work is attributed to an editor, or an official (e.g. Secretary), or a body (e.g. a committee or a commission), only that person(s) actually responsible for the work, name, or act, is deemed to be the author.
